Ashley grew up in Manassas, Virginia. When she is not teaching, Ashley can be found hiking and/or traveling- usually these hobbies overlap. Some of her favorite trips include Peru and Zion National Park. Ashley is an avid historian, reader, and pizza-eater.
Caitlin is originally from Wellesley, Massachusetts, but just moved back to the east coast after living in Los Angeles for sixteen years. Outside of teaching history, she spends as much time as she can practicing yoga, listening to podcasts, running with her dog, Alfred, and improving her recently acquired knitting skills.
Carly is from Fairfield, Connecticut, a small suburban beach town just outside of New York City. She can be found practicing and teaching yoga at Yoga Del Sol in Georgetown, attending musicals at the Kennedy Center, or laughing with friends over coffee at one of DC's cozy cafes. She also loves dogs of all kinds.
Erica grew up in a few states, but spent most of her childhood in Maryland. She enjoys fitness, yoga, listening to '80s music, and attending concerts. She thinks The Doobie Brothers have put on the best show so far.
Gemma was born in England, but was raised in Williamsburg, Virginia. She came to the DC area to complete her degrees from George Mason University. Gemma enjoys reading and Zumba, and she is not afraid to do anything to make her students smile!
Jose is from Salamanca, Spain, the city with the third oldest university in the world. He moved to Washington, D.C. to work as a Spanish teacher. In his free time, Jose plays and coaches soccer. He loves traveling, and has visited more than 75 countries.
Katie grew up in New Jersey and ended up in the DC area after attending James Madison University. When she's not teaching, you can find Katie cooking up a big meal for friends, reading, or exploring DC. She's always on the lookout for the best tacos and doughnuts in any area in which she travels!
Meaghan is from Manchester, Connecticut and went to UConn. She lives in Arlington with her rescue dog, Finley. Meaghan and Finley love to run around the National Mall and go on hikes (when they are not hosting costume parties).
Ross is from San Francisco, California. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he made the cross-country trek to DC, visiting many iconic spots along the way. He loves animals, and in his spare time he can be found reading or exploring Rock Creek Park.
